MEDITERRANEAN
New Seaside Home
Croatian Coast
Nestled between tall pine trees on a steep rocky terrain overlooking a town bay, the house is designed with wings and porches that evoke local vernacular architecture. The home is surrounded by terrace gardens and built with the local stone, to comfortably fit into its beautiful Mediterranean environment.
Indoor and outdoor spaces are open to sweeping views of the sea and islands, while shaded from the hot summer sun. The most striking space, the central porch, feels as though it is floating in the trees. A small corner pool and terrace underneath are surrounded by stone-lined gardens filled with fragrant plants and open to stunning water views.
This is a vacation home designed for a large family. Both main floors have bedroom suites and living space wings, and are connected with a central stair hall. This simple layout allows floors to be used independently as well, offering flexibility of use to the family and privacy during guest visits. A ground floor space with direct access to the pool terrace is available, if needed, as an additional guest suite.
